Mark Wilson to Speak at Med Week Conference
Ryla CEO to provide entrepreneurial perspective to panel discussion
The 2009 event, “Energizing the American Economy with Minority Business Enterprises,” is scheduled for August 26th - 28th. Senior policy makers, academicians, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders will offer best practices and guidance for securing opportunities stemming from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. In addition to speakers like Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, the event will include a business expo, annual awards gala and networking opportunities.
Wilson will be a panelist on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 3:30 p.m. The panel titled, “MBDA Summit’s Preliminary Findings for Future MBE Programs” will focus on the various legal, funding and regulatory issues impacting minority businesses throughout their entire life cycle. Bob Knowles, president and chairman of The Affluence Group, Inc., will moderate the panel.
