Ryla CEO, Mark Wilson, Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 Award Winner in Alabama/Georgia/Tennessee
Award Recognizes Entrepreneurial Excellence in Services Category
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Winners are selected by an independent panel made up of regional business, academic and community leaders.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and energy that the entire Ryla team brings to their jobs day in and day out,” Wilson said. “I have only been able to accomplish my goals as an entrepreneur as a result of the dedication and support of our agents, supervisors and management team.”
Since its inception in 2001, Ryla has grown tremendously — both in revenue and employee size. Earlier this year, the Atlanta Business Chronicle recognized this growth and named Ryla the fastest growing privately-held company in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Georgia Trend also named Ryla as the fastest growing company on its Mid-Market Fast 40 listing.
Earlier this year, California-based Alorica, Inc., a national and international player in the customer care services industry, announced that it was making a strategic investment in Ryla. The deal will enable both Alorica and Ryla to receive the synergies that come with growing an international customer care services company.
Alorica Chairman & CEO Andy Lee also recently was named a 2010 E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in the Orange County/Desert Cities region.
Wilson is now eligible for consideration for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the overall national Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif. on November 14, 2010. The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation’s most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
