The U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) recently named Ryla Teleservices as the Local and Regional Technology Firm of the Year for the Atlanta region and will present the award at the annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week in Atlanta in August. Since 1983 the technology award, and other business-focused categories, are selected and presented to minority entrepreneurs and business advocates by the MBDA during MED Week, an annual observance to recognize the outstanding achievements of minority business enterprises (MBEs). As the Atlanta Region winner, Ryla was selected over other companies in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, and the Virgin Islands. Ryla's nomination is now being considered for the national award. This year's National MED Week Conference will be held September 11th through September 14th in Washington D.C.
